dress 284…also today I went to Harry Potter World!!
Once again my wi-fi seems to be playing up, and is refusing to let me load up this picture of today’s dress in a larger format than this pa-uuuuney little image. But please try to enjoy its spotty form as much as you can…it took me long enough to pull together .
And in other news…

I went to Harry Potter World today, and by-holy-jeese…it was the best thing ever. We started off the day at the Three Broomsticks, where we breakfasted on bacon, eggs and pancakes…only to wash it all down with a side of butterbeer. Then we headed off to explore and enjoy all the treats Hogsmeade had to offer. I bought a wand, sipped on Pumpkin juice, bought some treats from Honeydukes, and generally went a little nutso with all the excitement. It was so much more amazing than I could have ever imagined.
The rest of the Universal park was (as expected) pretty amazing also. I looooove going on rides and so much of the day was spent hopping on and off some of the best, and most terrifying rides I have ever been on. Things did get a little bit tense however when I went on The Hulk ride. Not expecting the massive increase in speed AS SOON AS THE RIDE BEGINS, I momentarily passed out due to the g-forces, and spent the remainder of the ride trying to rouse myself from my drooly-post-feint-state.
It was all a little bit hectic, and I may have cried a little bit when the ride finished. Needless to say we went on it again at the end of the day. Ahah.
Anywho, I have to go watch an episode of ‘Shipping Wars’ now…one of the many reality television shows that I have become heavily addicted to during my stay in the USA. It involves people bidding on mystery-filled shipping containers. It’s incredible.
Night Night (or good morning to those in Australia). xo
Dress 282 in….FLORIDA!!!

To mix things up a little, we have said goodbye to glorious New York and made a big “HELLO!” to Orlando Florida. So this is me, in our new Florida hotel room in today’s dress…pretty excited about the next few days! Can anyone say…Harry Potter world????
Woo! xo

It’s our last night in New York tonight, so to celebrate I made this festive pastel number! Sorry about the yellow lighting…our main light blew so we are just hanging out with the lamps! xo
A pink dress friend…AND SO MUCH DREAM FABRIC
Today was a most delightful adventure! After a tasty breakfast with Tom’s glorious sisters and the lovely Adele, we skooted around the streets of the Garment Dress to explore the various trimmings/buttons/fabrics/zip shops that dot the area – and we were certainly not disappointed. At one store i was served by the most delightful woman called America. She helped me find a sturdy collection of pastel fabrics that I intend to use both in these ‘i make my day’ frocks, and in my next Yellowcake collection…which I’m pretty excited about. WOO! Also, regard today’s dress…

Why can’t Australia take a fabric fiesta page out of New York??? Just look at this amazement:

Stripe Me Lilac Dress
Before checking out today’s stripey dress number, do cast your eyes upon the small shoe collection I have been gathering during my time here in New York. FUN FUN FUN!!!

Checker box dress!

I love this dress! I picked up some sweet fabric from Mood fabrics on 7th Avenue to make it! xo

This photo of today’s dress would only upload in a really tiny format. Bless you foreign interwebs, bless you. xo

Today was a most excellent day. As it was Martin Luther King Day we all decided to head down to Brooklyn and see an awesome tribute film at the BAM theatre – which was just too brilliant and moving for words. Afterwards we sauntered down to an incredible restaurant where I suffered from a significant bout of food envy (WHY DID I ORDER THE SOUP???)…but I got past it just in time to head to the most incredible vintage store I have ever strolled into. After a solid hour of hunting, I managed to score a sweet pair of Melissa shoes for a swift $21, whilst Tom’s sister Ellie managed to score a pair of Valentino heels for $50….whaaaaaaaat? I know! The awesomeness was just too mighty to contain.
Anywho, in homage of my American day I decided to fashion this festive themed frock from sweet bits of fabric I managed to track down on my various adventures today. Fun Fun Fun! xo
