Last week was pretty crazy on the making front. As I have mentioned in earlier posts, I have been frantically trying to get Bridesmaid dresses finished, and last week I made some really good headway! I have 3 of the 6 frocks completed…and I am so happy with how they are looking! In other news, I have been a little obsessed lately with the idea of making a Pom Pom Magic Crystal Tree, which I fiiiinally finished after weeks of pomming. However, now that I am finished, I am not really sure what I intend to do with it. I think maybe just stare at it? I wish so hard that I could make a life size magic crystal tree. But if this took me weeks to make…a life size version could very well claim the rest of my life…
In other, other news, on Sunday I scooted off to my friend Pae’s house to work on some outfits for the upcoming Grates Tour. I have attached a little sneaky peak photos of some of the glittery ‘Junk Jackets’ we are working on for the shows, and also some snaps of the matching gumboots I made just for funsies. Also, we will be decorating sunglasses again at this year’s Splendour In the Craft Tent, so I couldn’t help but whip up a couple of new frames for inspo because, why not? Also, for some added fun, I have FINALLY started an Etsy account…where I will be selling many of my creations from now on. It’s been a long time coming, but I have finally gotten my act together…so go! Buy the things! You can browse here and the link is also available in this page’s header. I will be adding more goodies as the weeks go on, but in the meantime there are a couple of treasures there to get you started if you are keen.
But crafty pursuits and swamped adventures aside, the true highlight of my week would have to have been introducing my two darling daughters, Daphne and Daisy, to their new Winter jackets. Late last week my poochies started doing what I like to call The June Shake, which is essentially a jazzy title for ‘the dogs are shivering because they are cold. So obviously, I had to go and find them some winter jumpers to keep their furry bods warm in this frosty weather.
Aside from these light making-adventures, I don’t have a whole lot else to report. This week I am going to try and make some headway on a little Zine that I am putting together and get going on my plans for the next photo shoot for Frankie Magazine – which I am SUPER excited about! Anywho, hope everyone has a splendid week!
