It’s been a pretty whirl wind couple of weeks. I am now officially a wife, have been and gone to Japan, have done another Frankie photoshoot, and this week…launched my own handbag! Holy Toledo, saying all that is making me a little anxious. As a result of all these shenanigans, everything has just been go go go since returning from our honeymoon, so much so, that on Saturday I just cracked and had to cover my poochies…and then myself…in sticky dots! I have to say, I felt so much better after that, and can now head into the week with a calmer, more focused outlook. This week I feel like I can begin properly settling back into everyday life and just generally getting used to NOT planning a wedding! Not planning a wedding really is a great thing. Whilst I definitely had the greatest time ever on my wedding day, it is quite a relief for it to be all done and dusted, and no longer have to say words like table settings or wishing well (ewww I hate the term wishing well..I don’t know why, I just do. These words in the setting of a Snow White movie or similar = fine. When related to a wedding = ewwwww). Instead, of all that planning, I can now get back to doing fun things…like posting on this here blog…which I feel like I haven’t done in ages!! So as a little catch up, I have loaded up some of my recent snaps….
This is a little snap that I took at on the plane, waiting to head home from Japan, holding my favourite souvenir from our travels. I feel like this little snowglobe captures exactly how I felt about Japan and our Honeymoon as a whole.
The day after I got home from Japan it was time to do a Frankie photoshoot. There were definitely some creative acrobatics involved with prepping this particular photoshoot…but all will be revealed in the next issue!
These are my Tinsel bags. I have been working away on bringing these to life for the last few months and I am totally obsessed with them! You can purchase them in my Etsy store, or find one in a cute boutique near you very soon!
I found this hat at an op shop recently and just felt like it would be so happy to have a pom pom hot glued to it. This was one of the important tasks that I have had to complete upon my return to everyday life.
The above and below are some snaps of heavenly items I bought in Japan. I am obsessed with all of these items – particularly the copy of Betty magazine! I have literally never seen a copy of it anywhere in Australia.
Without a doubt, the greatest thing about getting home was being reunited with these two looney tunes. Oh my god I MISSED THEM SO MUCH. NO AMOUNT OF IMAGINING THEIR FURRY LITTLE BODS DID THEM ANY JUSTICE. They just looked so cute in their little Kuwaii outfits too..they broke my heart.
Anywho, I’m off to bed! Stay tuned for some fun projects that I’ll be launching in the next couple of weeks. Ooooo and if you’re feeling like something zany to do on September 24th, I will be holding a class with Workshop Brisbane on how to make some cutie piñatas. You can book for that event here!
Sweet Dreams! xx
