You will need:

  • 3 green pipe cleaners
  • Green/Yellow/Pink crepe paper
  • Coloured/patterned paper
  • Shaped hole punches (I have used 2 punches from FISKARS)
  • Hot Glue Gun

Begin by hole punching a whole bunch of your shapes. I made about 30 scalloped circles and 30 flowers.

Once you’ve punched out your shapes, begin hot gluing the flowers onto the scalloped circles, making an effort to pull away the petals from the circle, so that they stick up like a flower.

Then, roll up a small piece of coloured crepe paper and hot glue it into the centre of the flower…

You are going to want some greenery on your crown, so fringe some strips of green crepe paper and twist the bottoms so they take on a leafy shape.

Prepare the base of your crown by twisting the pipe cleaners together and making a complete circle. Place it on your head and ensure the fit is good.  Then you are ready to begin hot gluing your flowers and leaves to the pipe cleaner crown!

Keep gluing until the entire crown is covered!
