new stuff

Oh the things you can do after a big week at work comes to an end, and the wine has flowed freely! I made this flamingo-esque-puff-ball on the wee hours of Friday night and now don’t want to take it off! I stitched it together using BULK layers of pink raffia and would now like to do one in every colour!  To those who have enquired so far about purchasing one of these pieces…do NOT fret! I will be releasing a collection of these jackets to purchase later in the month!

As I put together this latest little capsule, you can see that my studio is filling to the brim with my various experiments. I think that is my nice way of saying: everything is a bit of a mess. But I kind of like colourful chaos (can you tell?). I think the Dolly Parton-inspired bedazzled jacket one is my favourite thus far, but it really is SO hard to pick a favourite.  It will definitely be hard to let them go when the time comes! Also, please take note of my very favourite new pair of sunglasses that Poppy Lissiman sent me in exchange for one of my tinsel jackets!  Isn’t she a dream?! She sent me these and a bunch of other heavenly goodies and I cannot wait to take them all out on the town!  You can get your hands on some of her goodies here.

As I loved the jacket so much, I thought it only right that there be a matching pair of shoes to make it a TRUE outfit…

And once my obsession with bedazzling took a breathe, I obviously took a moment to dip into my pom pom reserves to make this gem of a jacket…I am honestly OBSESSED with it!!

After doing SO much werk and bedazzling over the last week, I thought it only right to duck out and get my hair done by the incredible gals over at Indigo Hair Cut and Colour in Brisbane!  They always take such good care of me, and I couldn’t be more dazzled by my new locks – so thanks guys!

And now I finish on this image of some swampy goodness that I made when I was feeling a little bit procrastinatey the other day.

xoxo Rach
