Olah!
I am feeling a lot perkier and zen about life, than I was upon my arrival into the country yesterday. Today we awoke bright and early, full of vigour, and strolled ourselves down to the ‘Melecon’ – a beautiful ocean side walkway that is perfect for a morning stroll and viewing of the many Chevrolets that come zooming past.

Havana is like nothing I have ever experienced before. A strict, Communist, society the people here live amongst phrases like ‘socialism or death’, heavy censorship, limited access to the internet, and shops that keep things like Fruit Tingles and Cornettos under lock and key.
But holy moly, this place is sooooo beautiful. Post colonial mansions that used to house some of the wealthiest Americans, line the streets in all their post-revolution, dilapidated glory. Everything is falling apart, dripping in laundry, or surrounded by trash – yet still manages to shine in the Cuban sun. I have never seen so many blue and pink houses…and I love them all.

Yet despite being in such a different place, one thing in my day is consistent – and that is of course making a frock. So here is today’s…I think I might wear it to dinner later on. xo

Once again my wi-fi seems to be playing up, and is refusing to let me load up this picture of today’s dress in a larger format than this pa-uuuuney little image. But please try to enjoy its spotty form as much as you can…it took me long enough to pull together .
