This dress was inspired by the various blue shades of sky that I saw as I landed into Melbourne this weekend for the Easter holidays! As you know, I am loving up the ruffles at the moment – and merged with my love of faded tones, I feel like I am really onto something here. This is one of my favourite designs yet! I want to try it in more colours now. xo
I am back home after an Easter weekend spent in Melbourne. I am a tired bean, so have soothed my achey eyes and lack of motivation by making this gentle yellow frock…complete with a delightful hint of pom pom. Excellent. xo

So admittedly I look like a little bit of a unitard in today’s dress, but it was created under the solid influence of about 6kg of chocolate (see top image) – and after a day’s worth of solid family mediation. xo
We have headed down to Melbourne this weekend to spend Easter with the extended family. Undoubtedly I can expect many crazy, family-oriented, shenanigans to occur tomorrow under the stern influence of various sugar and chocolate treats. One can only hope that everything goes smoothly…

I seemed to forget, somewhere along the way, how long it takes to hand-sew hundreds of sequins around small cut out letters. I have just finished up and it is 2.20 am. What a goose! I should have tucked myself into bed ages ago…no one needs a zombie girl on a wednesday morning!

Today I got to hang out with some pretty cute beans! One is named Cinnamon (a mini sausage dog) and the other is called Caitlin – she is the owner of said sausage dog, and an all round great gal!
So moved by the cuteness of this little critter, I was moved to go fabric shopping and see if I could make a dress that could in any way even start to reflect Cinnamon’s glory
